For the second year running, Patchs Health has been recognised at the Health Tech Digital Awards.
This year, we’ve been awarded:
- New Health Tech Innovation of the Year
- Best Use of Technology (Primary Care)
Needless to say, we’re absolutely thrilled!
Both awards have been made in recognition of our work developing and implementing Patchs Telephone Assistant.
Why we won
The judges applauded Patchs Telephone Assistant as a ground-breaking solution to the problem of the ‘8am rush’ that is presently reducing the quality-of-care offered to patients and putting primary care practices under intolerable strain.
The Telephone Assistant offers patients who are unable to use online consultation systems an easy, secure and efficient way to contact their practice via the telephone line.
How does the Telephone Assistant work?
The Telephone Assistant allows patients to leave a voice message describing their request. This is then transcribed and logged into the Patchs inbox for staff to review, just like a request made online.
It means that all patients, regardless of technological literacy, are provided with the same opportunity to contact their GPs.
Meanwhile, because the Telephone Assistant is able to process multiple incoming calls in parallel, practice staff reap the tremendous benefit of having call waiting times drastically reduced – if not entirely eliminated.
Our thanks to the Health Tech Digital judges – and congratulations to all the other winners! We’d also like to thank Lingwell Croft Surgery, who did incredible work pioneering the Telephone Assistant at their practice.
