Callum Lawson is a Data Science Intern at Patchs, where he builds AI models that enhance the functionality of the Patchs app. His work includes determining the urgency of cases, suggesting useful resources, and classifying cases by topic keywords. Callum is driven by the rapid advancements in AI, particularly its potential to improve healthcare outcomes.
With a background in quantitative ecology and credit risk analytics, Callum has extensive experience in statistical modeling. He transitioned from academia, where he focused on species’ responses to climate change, to quantitative finance, before delving into AI at Patchs.
Outside of his professional life, Callum has recently taken up urban kiz, a partner dance, and enjoys exploring London. He values social activities and the opportunities to meet new people.
